What would you do if the Society Declares Bankruptcy
by Quarterback inspecial pioneers let go.

Well, it is possible but they still have a lot of assets so they'd restructure first and soon but I'd venture to say that most R&F JW's won't know a thing about it. Their cash burn rate was growing exponentially while growth has stalled to 0% which means less income, so they had to make drastic cuts. I'd tell everyone of you guys to go out to your local hall where nobody knows you, pretend to be some interested person, order all the literature you can and bibles, ask for a bible study and then drown them in questions about 607 BCE, child abuse scandals, UN membership and other things. Those listening around you will begin to do their own research. Plus, we all need to do our part in making lots of noise about the child abuse scandals. Write you congressman. Call every newspaper you know and have them investigate. Get a class action lawsuit going. Get off your assses and do something! I know I am! -

Doing the Right Thing, Making a Choice (shunning)
by Simon incontinuing a topic that is dear to my heart because of my experience as both a shunner and a shunnee .... some people seem to get very agitated when i talk about the responsibility people have to make the right choices and that despite all the wrongs within the wts, people themselves have a role to play and some personal responsibility for the experience.. notice i said "some" responsibility, not "complete" - this doesn't absolve the wts for the things they do wrong in any way shape or form.
so please don't get argumentative about possible meanings and absolutes - of course the wts has a significant role to play but we need to decide what we're trying to achieve here and why the personal choice is so important.. i'm also not talking about actual crimes that the wts should answer for.
if they cover up child abuse for instance, they absolutely should be reported immediately.

@Simon- Well said. As I wrote in another post, this topic is close to my heart because I shunned my sister for 5 years. I made that choice. It was so wrong and evil but I was brainwashed. FU(K THIS CULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Treat Disfellowshipped as "Men of the Nations and Tax Collectors"
by BluesBrother inwe are more than familiar with the wts rules that say the d/f'd ones , even close relatives outside the home are to be shunned completely "not even saying a greeting" except in very exceptional circumstances.
there is ,however, a line of thought that reasons on jesus' words at matthew 18 ,regarding personal disputes, and their application of it to being disfellowshipped.. matthew 18:15-17.
15 moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go lay bare his fault between you and him alone.

@Blues- This topic is VERY dear to me because I shunned my own sister for 5 years. I don't want to get into this again but if I were to believe in the bible again, there is no way I would believe that "disfellowshipping" is scriptural, let alone, CHRISTIAN as you have proven. But disfellowshipping is a useful tool this cult uses to keep members in line. I shunned my sister because I was taught to believe it was the right thing to do and out of fear of being shunned myself. This cult needs to be destroyed. NOW. -

The public prosecuter is interested in getting information on JWs.

i myself am in full fade mode with an overly active jw wife, who refuses to discuss any point whatsoever.
a friend who is not a jw nor has ever been a jw; he studied for a few months, then realized what an evil cult it is and stopped.

@Virgo- Yeah that seems to be the commonality in these cases. Makes me so angry. It's always "let's keep it quite because we don't want to bring reproach upon "Jehovah's holy name."
The worst is when I hear an elderly sister or brother say, "oh let Jehovah deal with [X-situation] in HIS own time. Jehovah will take care of things" Yeah, it's become quite apparent that either "Jehovah" doesn't give a sh*t or he's dead. So many of these cases should have been exposed by "Jehovah" the day this sh*t happened, not 20 YEARS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Giodano- Thanks! I know we don't see eye-to-eye on other things but we have a common enemy that needs to be brought to justice! Pass this on if you can! The more signatures the better!
Peace!

WT Society SEC Records : Hedge Funds, Cayman Islands, Financial Losses - Links
by flipper inso my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.
also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.
anyway here is the link : https://www.watchtowerlies.com/the_watchtower_revenue.html .. feel free to check this link out and other links on that link indicating the cayman island connection.

@Crazy guy- It was just something that he heard in Bethel. That was last year and I haven't hear anything since so seems like it might have been something someone in the finance dept said when they did a cash flow and calculated their burn rate.... but maybe this will turn out to be true especially if they've got potentially thousands of child abuse cases pending!
@Flipper- Yeah, they will never admit the truth, just like they will NEVER admit that 607 is WRONG. It's, "keep the charade going for as long as we can" kind of cult. Like I told crazyguy that was already last year so it is obvious that someone saw something that caused alarm.I think I might have gotten out of this cult just in time!

@Virgo- Thank you. In my old hall there was a rumor that an older elder had touched a boy in the late 1990's and he was briefly removed for "health reasons." Never reported to the police. It was only a rumor at the time so I couldn't bring it to the police but it seems like I won't need to anymore. Heard the elders reported him just a few weeks ago because they are afraid of the consequences of hiding the case any longer! I wonder what the society will do to them now! Oh and his wife knew about it all along. At least she was loyal to him but still she didn't do the right thing!
Yes pass this on! Call you local newspaper! Write your congressman! Take action! The more noise we make eventually someone with the courage and desire for a Pulitzer will open up Pandora's box so wide that it will blow the lid off this soda pop stand!

@Flipper- Well I guess this confirms what I heard from my contact at Bethel that they were bleeding money for some time and going into fire sale mode to save the ship before 2017 turns out to be the year of "restructuring." It's all so clear NOW!
The best part is that they will NEVER admit that they are losing money and going broke! Nobody will ever know until the lights are out and we read it in the New York Times!
Jehovah is speeding things up! New light! NEW LIGHT!

@Heaven- I am not sure on the geographical limitations but since this is a petition for the US attorney then probably. But I honestly don't know. But sign it anyways. If not then they will kick it back stating so.

Very good!
Now with that in mind, here are the key factors of a cult- sound familiar?
What is a cult?
- Generally, it is a group that is unorthodox, esoteric, and has a devotion to a person, object, or a set of new ideas.
- New Teaching - has a new theology and doctrine.
- Only True Teaching - often considers traditional religious systems to be apostate and it alone possesses the complete truth.
- Strong Leadership - often an individual or small but powerful leadership group holds control of the group’s teachings and practices.
- Asset Acquirement - often requires tithing and/or property transfer to the religious system.
- Isolationist - to facilitate control over the members physically, intellectually, financially, and emotionally.
- Controlling - exercises control over the members. Sometimes this is through fear, threatening loss of salvation if you leave the group. Sometimes through indoctrination.
- Indoctrination - possesses methods to reinforce the cult’s beliefs and standards where opposing views are ridiculed and often misrepresented.
- Apocalyptic - to give the members a future focus and philosophical purpose in avoiding the apocalypse or being delivered through it.
- Experience
- various practices including meditation, repetition of words and/or
phrases, and ‘spiritual’ enlightenment with God are used as confirmation
of their truth.
- Depravation - sleep and food deprivation which weakens the will of the subject.
- This is uncommon, though practiced by more severe cults.
- Persecution - predictions of being persecuted, often combined with claiming any opposing views demonstrated against them as a form of persecution.
- Generally, it is a group that is unorthodox, esoteric, and has a devotion to a person, object, or a set of new ideas.
